Smart Power Infrastructure Demonstration for Energy Reliability and Security (SPIDERS) is a multi-agency, three-phase project funded and managed by DoD, DoE and DHS. IPERC was selected to provide the microgrid control system solution for the initial phase of the project.

The SBIR program has provided several opportunities for IPERC to utilize the research grant funding to develop and hone a number of technologies. IPERC has completed Phase I, II and II-e projects focused on plug-and-play technologies for the tactical grid.

Final Phase of SPIDERS Project to Provide Microgrid at Camp Smith, Hawaii

IPERC was awarded the contract to provide the networking and control system for the microgrid to be implemented at Camp Smith, Hawaii. IPERC has now been independently selected to provide the control system for all three phases of the SPIDERS project.
